Starting in Marrakesh, you will drive to the Merzouga desert stopping along the way at famous sites like the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben-haddou.
Details
Spend the night in the gorgeous Boumalne Dades before heading to the Saharan desert. You will have the opportunity to enjoy a sunset and sunrise camel trek, and eat dinner under the desert sky. Local Berber music and a fire will keep you entertained throughout the night.
DAY 1 : Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Gorges Dades
Our driver will take you from your hotel in Marrakesh at 07 am and head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site - the kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, before arriving in Ouarzazate to share a very delicious Moroccan meal. After visiting Ait Benhaddou, we will continue to the rose valley - Kalaat M'gouna and on to Boumalne Dades. Dinner and overnight at your Riad in the Gorges Dades.
DAY 2 : Gorges Dades - Tinghir - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
Today in the morning, enjoy a healthy breakfast at your Riad and take a walk through the hillsides of Tinghir, a narrow valley with steep rocky walls and a stream running through it. We will drive through the landscape of this beautiful area from Tinghir to the remarkable dunes Merzouga via Erfoud. Camel trek for about 1 hours through the dunes to the Camp watching the spectacular sunset over the dunes. At the camp enjoy a delicious dinner under the desert sky, nightlife with traditional Moroccan music.
DAY 3 : Merzouga - Rissani - Kalaat M’gouna - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Wake up early to see the sunrise over the Saharan desert before enjoy a hearty breakfast. After sunrise, share a delicious Berber breakfast outside the camp and enjoy the sights and sounds of the desert. Camel trek back to the centre of Merzouga. Then, we will drive back to Marrakech via Rissani and Ouarzazate, stopping along the way for a rest and to enjoy meals together.
