Itinerary

DAY 1 : Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Gorges Dades

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech at 07:00 am and depart towards the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most famous historical monuments. We then continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert, where you will enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch. After visiting Ait Ben Haddou, the journey continues through the beautiful Rose Valley of Kalaat M’gouna, renowned for its rose fields and local rose products, before arriving in Boumalne Dades. Dinner and overnight stay at your riad in the Dades Gorges, surrounded by spectacular landscapes and dramatic mountain scenery.

DAY 2 : Gorges Dades - Tinghir - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert

Today in the morning, enjoy a healthy breakfast at your riad before taking a walk through the hillsides of Tinghir, a narrow valley famous for its towering rocky cliffs, lush palm groves, and flowing stream. We then drive through the stunning landscapes from Tinghir to the Merzouga Desert, passing via Erfoud, known for its fossils and desert gateway. <br> Upon arrival in Merzouga, enjoy a camel trek of about one hour across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, heading to the desert camp while watching a spectacular sunset over the Sahara dunes. At the camp, savor a traditional Moroccan dinner under the starry desert sky, followed by an evening of local Berber music and desert nightlife, creating an unforgettable Sahara Desert experience.

DAY 3 : Merzouga - Rissani - Kalaat M’gouna - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the Sahara Desert, as the golden dunes of Merzouga slowly light up with soft morning colors, before enjoying a hearty breakfast at the desert camp. After sunrise, savor a traditional Berber breakfast served outside the camp, taking time to enjoy the silence, fresh air, and unique sounds of the Saharan desert. <br> Then, enjoy a camel trek back to the center of Merzouga village, crossing the desert landscape one last time. Afterward, we begin the drive back to Marrakech, traveling through Rissani and Ouarzazate, with planned stops along the route for rest breaks and meals, while admiring the changing landscapes of southern Morocco.
