Upon arrival, we meet our team of muleteers who will accompany us on this journey. Before leaving, you will have a few moments to apply sunscreen and fill your water bottle, essential for the first two hours of walking. This early departure marks the beginning of an unforgettable adventure, offering an authentic taste of Morocco's natural beauty.
Day 1 : Marrakech - Asni -Imioughlad - Col De Tacht - Tiziane (1950m) :
Departure at 8:00 for the village of Imioughlad via a less well-maintained road, where we meet up with our mule team along the way. After a quick preparation – applying sunscreen and filling water bottles, as there is no water available for the first two hours – we begin a gentle climb to the 2,000-metre Tacht Pass, offering stunning views of the village. The trail winds through a forest of red juniper and holm oak before descending to a water source for lunch. Another hour of descent brings us to the village of Tiziane, nestled in a valley of vibrant earth tones, where we will spend the night with a local homestay.
Day 2 : Tiziane (1950m) - Téouti Pass (2400m) - Tkent (2150m) :
We begin a magnificent stage with a significant difference in altitude that enhances the splendor of the landscape. Our ascent begins in the shade of the imposing walnut trees, gradually warming up as the sun rises higher before reaching the pass. At the shepherd's hut of Tiziane, it is advisable to purify the water from the springs or rivers before drinking it, as our digestive system may not be accustomed to spring water. Continuing through a forest of thuriferous junipers, we arrive at the Teouti pass, located at an altitude of 2400 meters. From there, we descend to Assaka for lunch before continuing to Tizgui, a village famous for its astonishing architecture, where we will spend the night with the locals.
Day 3 : Tkent (2150m) - Tougdalt Pass (2700m) - Tizi Oussem (1950m) :
This stage takes place amidst the most breathtaking and untouched landscapes of Toubkal. The day begins with a wake-up call at 7am, followed by breakfast at 7:30am and departure at 8am as the sun rises gently over a ravine at the foot of a peak over 3,600 meters high, guiding us towards the Tazaghart plateau. The ascent lasts about 2h30 on an easy path, followed by a long descent through a forest of thuriferous junipers. Lunch is taken in the shade of the imposing century-old walnut trees on the banks of the Azaden River, in the most beautiful valley of Toubkal, offering a perfect setting to recharge your batteries after a long hike. In the afternoon, we continue our route to the village of Tizi Oussem (2250m), where we will spend the night with the locals.
Day 4 : Tizi Oussem - Col De Mzik - Imlil - Marrakech :
We will leave the valley and the villages to gain altitude, following a magnificent path at the foot of Mount Toubkal, offering many viewpoints over the Azzaden Valley. After about 2h30 of walking, we will reach the Mzik pass, located at 2450 meters above sea level.
We will then descend towards the splendid Imlil valley, where we will be surrounded by green landscapes and flourishing orchards. We will have lunch on a shaded terrace, under large walnut trees.
Finally, we will be transferred to Marrakech.
