Essaouira is a charming port city and seaside resort on the Atlantic coast of Morocco, renowned for its authentic atmosphere and ocean views. Its medina (old town) is protected by impressive 18th-century seafront ramparts known as Skala de la Kasbah, designed by European engineers and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakech for a scenic drive of about 2.5 hours to Essaouira. Along the way, we will stop at a traditional Argan Oil Cooperative, where local women produce and sell the famous Moroccan argan oil, supporting women’s empowerment and local communities.
Upon arrival in Essaouira, enjoy a walk along the seafront promenade to admire the coastal landscapes and lively fresh fish markets, or enter the medina to discover its vibrant souks filled with unique handicrafts and local products.
We will explore the medina and fishing port, the historic ramparts, the old town, and the Mellah (Jewish quarter). At the end of this wonderful day trip , we will return to Marrakech in the early evening.
